Eager to keep the biopic train rolling along, Kate Winslet has inked a deal to topline a new film focusing on Elizabeth “Lee” Miller, a celebrated fashion model, artist and war correspondent.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the drama is based on the biography The Lives of Lee Miller, written by her son, Antony Penrose. She also became known for her work as a Vogue correspondent during WWII.
It’s not clear when it might go into production. She was a model, she was the muse for such artists as Picasso and Man Ray, but she distinguished herself in Europe as a photojournalist.
Given the eventful life of Lee Miller and Kate’s incredible list of roles, the makers could not have thought of anybody better than Kate Winslet for the part. No director or writer has signed to the project as of yet.

Her work, much of which has recently been put on display at the Imperial War Museum in London, includes striking images of the Blitz and the liberation of Paris. She was also on the other side of the camera for one of the most iconic photos of all time, as she took a bath in the vanquished Führer’s personal tub.

Winslet stars as a glamorous woman who returns home to her country town in Jocelyn Moorhouse’s The Dressmaker, which opens in two weeks, and as Apple marketing whiz Joanna Hoffman in Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs, which opens in January.
