Katie Ledecky Got Michael Phelps’ Autograph When She Was 9
A photo shared by the Ledecky family with ESPN reporter Darren Rovell shows a 9-year-old Katie beaming after she got an autograph from swimming legend and now-Olympic teammate Michael Phelps back in 2006.

Meeting Phelps and Jordan wasn’t Ledecky’s only preparation for achieving fame one day.

Ledecky is set to swim again Thursday in a challenge to win her fourth gold medal.
ICYMI, Ledecky has racked up two gold medals in Rio, and also smashed her own world record in the 400 metres freestyle by almost two seconds. Ten years later, she’s an Olympic gold medalist for Team USA. In an earlier tweet, he shared a photo of two-time Olympic gold medal victor Michael Jordan holding Ledecky as a toddler, with the caption, “Michael Jordan got 2 gold medals”.
At just 16-months Katie and her mother made it on the Today Show in 1998.
Phelps, 31, is the most decorated Olympian of all time with 21 gold medals and counting after winning two on Tuesday in a sensational performance.
“That’s how old I am, ” Al joked on TODAY Tuesday.
