Perry released her fourth studio album, Prism, in October 2013, and will kick off the South American leg of her accompanying Prismatic world tour September 22 in Lima, Peru. Tell us: Which photo is your favorite?
So check out all the pics in the gallery (above)!
Who’s that lady? In Harper’s Bazaar’s upcoming September issue, some of the industry’s biggest names – including Katy Perry, Oprah Winfrey, and Mariah Carey – transformed into their own versions of iconic divas, and the results are awesome.
For Perry, her choice of the famed British was about more than just looks.
Other celebrity/icon combinations seem to be a bit of a stretch: Oprah Winfrey appears as Glinda the Good Witch from the Wizard of Oz, and Mariah Carey as Marie Antoinette.
Dressed in a handsome pink dress, holding a picture of Dorothy and a magic wand, Oprah is pictured flying and looking as happy as can be as Glinda the Good Witch, who she calls “a spiritual goddess”. “To me, she embodies the power of love and pleasure, and represents the mystery and intricacy of women”. In the interview that accompanies her piece, Perry tells Harper’s Bazaar, “Liz was so fabulous and decadent and had a style that evolved with the years … and I’m sure I’ll be married just as many times!”
As for Carey, the 45-year-old singer became Queen of France Marie Antoinette.
