Katy Perry named world’s highest-paid musician

It is likely she will be topping the 2016 list as her 1989 Tour earns about $4 million per city. Forbes revealed its highest-paid musician of 2015 list, and Perry towered over others with $135 million, AceShowbiz reports. Despite losing one member, One Direction took the second place with $130 million on the musicians list.

Taylor Swift could be the one with the latest album release and tour, but Katy Perry is the richer one.

Here is the latest list by Forbes detailing the World’s Highest-Paid Musicians of 2015. Her Prismatic World Tour was the main earner for the Dark Horse hitmaker.

One Direction, arguably the biggest boy band in the world right now, also made huge money from touring like Perry did, performing at over 70 venues over the year, making over a million dollars per stop.

DJ Calvin Harris, 31, was No. 6, with $66 million from six-figure fees and endorsement deals with designer label Giorgio Armani and others. Country star Garth Brooks came in the third spot with $90 million, followed by Taylor Swift in fourth place with $80 million.
