KCEU Chairman condemns attack on Bacha Khan University

The Office of the President in a statement said the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has never supported a terrorist group and has never provided sanctuaries for the terror groups.

People from all walks of life, including politicians, academicians, religious scholars and lawyers strongly condemned the attack on the Bacha Khan University, Charsadda, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Islamabad-based analyst Imtiaz Gul said the Charsadda attack showed that the objective of Mansoor’s group is to create instability.

Another accomplice, identified as Noorullah, bought an auto-rickshaw and transported the attackers from Mardan to the sugarcane fields next to Bacha Khan University, which they crossed through to finally scale the walls of the campus and carry out the assault.

The statement also added that the Afghan government understands there is no good or bad terrorists since the terrorists are only pursuing to spread terror, insisting on a joint and bold efforts to combat the menace of the terror in the region.

Providing details of the planning of the attack, the military spokesman said the gunmen used public transportation from the Afghan border to reach Mardan city, about 30 kilometres from Charsadda, where they were received by four Pakistani men, now in army custody.

The university attack killed 21 people, mostly students, while four attackers were gunned by the security forces. “Pakistan’s entire system is that of infidels… we will change it”.

“We have chose to target schools, colleges and universities from now on”, he said.

Flanked by armed extremists wearing masks, he said that instead of targeting professional soldiers, “we will target the nurseries that produce these people”.

Another commander confirmed the release of the video.

The protesters led by Malik Tahir Khan, Ajoon Khan, Muhammad Ali and others, whose sons had been martyred in the similar terrorist attack on the APS Peshawar on December 16, 2014, visited the DHQ hospital and inquired after the health of the injured.

“We have started the process of attacking educational institutions”, he said in about 10-minute video posted on Facebook.
