Keane: Utd have lost values, won’t win Prem

R OY KEANE has dismissed Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League, accusing some of Arsene Wenger’s players of being more interested in the way t hey look than in winning football matches.

The Gunners have not win the English Premier Leagu title since the 2003/2005 season and the former United midfielder believes that drought won’t end anytime soon.

“They have got good players, really good players, it’s just that one or two of them are more interested in selfies and six-packs”.

“Listen, every year we hear the same thing about Arsenal being contenders”.

“If their players show the same hunger and desire they did last year, they will do it again”.

Their team is the one with the strongest spine – John Terry, their goalkeeper, Eden Hazard – and if they can add John Stones to their team then they will be even harder to beat. “They’ve bought some good players, yet good players don’t necessarily make a good team”.

“Look at all the players they’ve bought over the last couple of years”.

As for Arsenal, Keane has suggested they lack the mindset to truly challenge for the Premier League title. United will no doubt be better next year, they’ll need to be stronger out of the blocks, but if I was a betting man, which I’m not, I’d still go with Chelsea.

“United have gone away from what they were about; they are a bit like the late 80s, buying a lot of players thinking they will gel – but it doesn’t happen that quickly, as much as they’ll definitely be stronger this year”, he added.

As for big-spending Manchester City, who made a splash in the summer by snapping up Liverpool and England star Raheem Sterling, Keane feels their squad is too weak, compared to Mourinho’s.

“They will only be in trouble if they are complacent but I don’t think it is in their nature to take their foot off the gas”.

It is Chelsea who will be the team to beat again, according to Keane, who knows a thing or two about what it takes to win the league after winning it seven times in his days at Old Trafford.

Say cheese Roy Keane has attacked the Arsenal team for concentrating too much on taking selfies
