Keenan Allen carted off field vs. Chiefs with knee injury
San Diego Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen is one of the best receivers in the National Football League when he’s healthy.

Ensuring Allen wouldn’t reach free agency in 2017, the Chargers signed him to a four-year, $45-million extension this past summer.
Allen was immediately put on a cart and taken off the field as he covered his face, in tears. The Chargers have announced he’s done for the day.
The injury occurred in the first half on a non-contact play for Allen.
Allen, 24, missed the majority of the 2015 season with a lacerated kidney but entered this season healthy and appeared poised for big things.
The Chargers spent a third-round pick on Allen in 2013 and he’s been the team’s top receiver ever since.

Allen was well on his way to obliterating his previous career bests a year ago, as he had 725 yards and four touchdowns in eight games.
