Keenan Allen carted off with apparent injury
He had plenty of things to lament, too.

The Chargers had high hopes for Allen after he caught 67 passes for 725 yards and four touchdowns in just half a season a year ago.
“Lot of emotion at the end of the game”, Smith said with a smile. It’s not acceptable to be up by 24-3 and lose the game.
It took Kansas City 10 plays to march 75 yards in overtime. The touchdown completed their stunning comeback – and the Chargers’ equally stunning collapse. And while they did restructure Rivers’ contract to free up some cap space and get under the cap.they still only have about $2.2 million in cap space to work with.
That all changed once the fourth quarter began.
The San Diego Chargers take on the Kansas City Chiefs today in an NFL football game on the first weekend on the 2016 regular season schedule. Not sure if it was from the pain of the injury, or the pain of losing another chunk of a season, Allen was screaming and sobbing as he was carted off.
Allen had 67 catches for 725 yards and four touchdown catches last season through eight games and was well on his way to his second 1,000-yard season, but he suffered a kidney laceration in the eighth game and missed the rest of the season.
“It’s hard”, McCoy said.
Ware finished with 70 yards rushing and had seven catches for 129 yards, giving the Chiefs a big boost without Jamaal Charles.
GORDON WAS GOOD: Melvin Gordon ran for the first two touchdowns of his career Sunday.
The Chiefs played without star pass rusher Justin Houston, who could be out until November as he recovers from ACL surgery in February. Some of that had to do with an improved San Diego offensive line anchored by new center Matt Slauson, which spent three quarters pushing around the Kansas City defense.
