Kejriwal accuses centre of ordering CBI to target opposition parties

“Kejriwal and his party have been levelling such false and foolish charges just to save a corrupt officer”, BJP media cell in-charge Shrikant Sharma said, wondering why AAP was going to such lengths to save an officer.

“CBI has already clarified that the office of the Chief Minister Delhi was neither searches nor sealed”, she said. “Finding himself acting as a shield to cover an officer under investigation, the Delhi chief minister has attempted to focus attention on me”, Jaitley’s FB post reads further.

The CBI said the claims were made to derail a probe against Principal Secretary Rajendra Kumar, who is accused of corruption.

CBI has been locked in a war of words with the Chief Minister ever since its sleuths raided Delhi secretariat in connection with its probe against Kejriwal’s Principal Secretary Rajendra Kumar in an alleged corruption case.

According to the association, the chief minister assured them that he would do all that is required to strengthen the institutional mechanisms.

Rawat said the raid started between 9.10am and 9.20am on Tuesday. Along with Kumar, CBI also examined owner of Endeavour Systems Private Limited Dinesh Gupta and Managing Director of Intelligent Communication Systems India Limited (ICSIL) R S Kaushik here at its headquarters.

However, Jaitley rubbished the allegations, saying he has had nothing to do with cricket for years.

“They asked me to cooperate or face arrest”. Sisodia asked, claiming misuse of CBI by the Centre. “Moreover, he is trying to make it a Centre and state issue which it is not”, Naidu told the media here.

“They were busy examining piles of files and at the same time some of them were questioning us”.

Bedi went on: “Also, if the DDCA house was in order with no corruption, then why did BCCI stop all payment to DDCA and why was incumbent president of DDCA sacked?” “The CBI officials had ordered food from the secretariat’s canteen”, he said.
