Kejriwal Dares Jaitley, Questions His Role In DDCA scam
The BJP on Thursday hit out at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over his allegations of impropriety against Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, terming them “blasphemous”, “preposterous” and meant to deflect attention from a corrupt officer.

Under attack over its raids at the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s office building, CBI on Wednesday justified the action saying the list of all the files seized will be placed before the court even as it continued questioning his Principal Secretary in a corruption case.
Challenging Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s statement in parliament that the CBI did not search Kejriwal’s office, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said this was not true.
Kejriwal tweeted, “Documents seized from my office. It establishes that CM office was raided/CM files were searched”, Ashutosh said. “Since Jaitley has lied on the floor of the House and misled Parliament, this warrants a privilege motion against him and the government”, he said. “What is his role in DDCA scam?”
Despite warnings by an global anti-graft watchdog about the corruption charges against Rajendra Kumar, the chief minister’s principal secretary and one of his most trusted aides, Arvind Kejriwal ignored the alert and saved the IPS officer.
“Jaitley is involved in the corruption in DDCA”, AAP leader Kumar Vishwas told the media here.
The official said 5-6 CBI officials came in two cars and conducted the raid. “The CBI reiterates that the searches and raids on December 15 were in conformity with the due process of law and that legal procedures were followed meticulously”, Singh said. The report concluded in relation to the DDCA being registered under the Companies Act that: “thus, in a nutshell, there are certain irregularities/non-compliance or technical violations, but no fraud (was) noticed as alleged”, he said quoting from the report.
“Why don’t you apologise to the country for your misdeeds first and then I’ll apologise for my words”, Kejriwal added, in an apparent reference to Modi’s refusal to apologise over deadly communal riots in Gujarat when he was chief minister in 2002. Rajendra Kumar is Kejriwal’s principal secretary, so all important files of the chief minister are kept in his room.
“This is a complete murder of democracy and the Aam Aadmi Party feels it is imperative for all persons who value their freedom to protest against this unannounced emergency”, Menon said. The agency, too, repeated its denials saying the office of the chief minister was “neither searched nor sealed”.

The CBI claims to have recovered about Rs 16 lakh, including Rs 2.4 lakh in cash, foreign currency worth Rs 3 lakh from the residence of Kumar.
