Kejriwal has become a champion of lies: BJP
New Delhi: Staunchly defending Arun Jaitley, whose resignation has been sought by the AAP and Congress for alleged financial misappropriation in DDCA, BJP yesterday asserted that it “resolutely stands behind” the finance minister who has an “impeccable” political record.

Ashutosh also questioned BJP’s silence on these allegations and described Jaitley as a “master of half-truth and handsome lies”.
Showering praise on Jaitley, she said he had written his name in “golden letters in history” with his dedication and work and Kejriwal’s attempts to protect a corrupt officer amounted to abdicating the anti-corruption movement from which he had shot to limelight.
Asked why they have come out with the reports of SFIO and DDCA’s internal committee which were already in public domain, AAP leader Sanjay Singh said the Delhi government was committed to investigate the irregularities unlike past dispensations which “sat over them”.
“If Jaitley were (to be) let off without investigations on (the) basis of his press denial, then should all coal and 2G (scandal) accused also be similarly let off?”
Earlier, at a press conference, AAP leaders hurled a string of charges against Jaitley.
In fresh tirade against Mr. Jaitley relating to allegations of corruption in Delhi’s cricket body DDCA under his watch, the AAP leader also asked the Union Finance Minister to disclose his close relationship with Batra.
Taking his battle with the BJP-led central authorities to new heights, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday made a sensational declare saying that Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been directed to go in any case Opposition events and end those who do not fall in line. They (AAP) are shooting in the dark. “AAP has made false allegations”. “By referring to some facts of 2014 and 2015, he (Kejriwal) can’t drag me in”. “So he should be removed”.

Jaitley has strongly rejected the allegations calling them a propaganda technique of Kejriwal to deflect attention when he himself was in the “dock” following a CBI raid in Delhi Secretariat. The CBI denied entering his room. DDCA’s infrastructure gone down very drastically. Kejriwal again re-tweeted and said: “Agree”. “The report concluded in relation to the DDCA being registered under the Companies Act that, in a nutshell, there are certain irregularities/non-compliance or technical violations, but no fraud (was) noticed as alleged”. “Why is BJP trying to cover up Jaitley’s corruption?”
