By claiming that relations between his Delhi government and Modi government at the Centre was like “India-Pakistan situation” in his hugely advertised #TalktoAK, Arvind Kejriwal gave an easy headline to the media.

Running through the initiatives taken by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government during a live interactive session in Delhi, Kejriwal called for repealing the no-detention policy under which every student is promoted till Class IX.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday warned the Centre and attacked it for reducing the Central education budget which he said would ruin the country. Kejriwal remained inside the shrine complex for almost one hour.

He cleaned utensils at the “Langar hall” which serves food to over one lakh people in a single day.

He said Kejriwal had a loss of face when people whom he was trying to protect – Jitender Singh Tomar, Somnath Bharti and his Principal Secretary Rajendra Kumar – had a brush with law.

Kejriwal was accompanied by AAP Punjab convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur, youth leader Harjot Bains, MPs Bhagwant Mann and Sadhu Singh, singer Gurpreet Ghuggi, Delhi MLA Jarnail Singh, MP Bhagwant Mann, actor Gul Panag and advocate HS Phoolka.

There were also objections to the title page of the manifesto, which carried a picture of the Golden Temple with the AAP poll symbol of the broom superimposed at the top.

Besides Mr Kejriwal, summons were issued to journalist-turned-politician Ashish Khetan and AAP’s Punjab affairs in-charge Sanjay Singh by Chief Judicial Magistrate Gurpartap Singh in a case filed by Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia.

Though Manish Sisodia is an able Deputy, Delhi surely needs a full time chief minister who is focused more on governance than on playing his brand of politics. “It is a pity that everything is not transparent in the investigation which is being undertaken with dilly-dallying tactics that has led to resentment among the Sikh community”, he alleged.
