He attacked Arvind Kejriwal by alleging that the AAP chief was speaking half-truth as he told him not to contest polls and only campaign but will make his wife a Minister. Sidhu said AAP is an anarchist party. He claimed that all well-meaning people were used as decoration pieces by mainstream political parties; and that people had no option but to look for the lesser evil at the hustings.

This would foreshadow his animated discourse about what transpired after he left the BJP. “Ask your wife to contest, [and] we will make her a minister.’ I said ‘Sat shri Akal [Goodbye]'”, he said.
The members of the Mahila Morcha of the Bharatiya Janata Party and other party activists presented Kejriwal “bangles and roses” for, as the demonstrators said, his failure to act against AAP member Ashutosh. The AAP has been taken aback by the development as there was speculation that Sidhu could join the party after he parted ways with BJP and resigned from his Rajya Sabha membership. Delhi Police also informed its counterparts in Punjab about the possibility of protests during the CM’s visit. “I said Sat Shri Akal”.
“Delhi BJP will ensure that people of Punjab will expose Kejriwal on his misdeeds in every nook and corner of Punjab”, city BJP chief Satish Upadhyay said.
“Police remained a mute spectator throughout the chaos. We will shake the system that has ruined Punjab and it can not be shaken by those who have vested interest”, added Sidhu.

“Kejriwal thinks only he is honest and no one else is and it is his copyright. What about us?” he proceeded to ask rhetorically, before wondering if he was expected to be a “Yes man”. But Mr Gandhi, who was suspended in June for supporting party rebels Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan, accused Mr Kejriwal of trying to bring outsiders to run Punjab. Singh said he was surprised by the sudden U-turn by Sidhu. “Give me 15-20 days to decide the future course of action”, he told the media.
