Kell Brook to fight Gennady Golovkin in London in September
“That’s what everyone’s going to find out, which we’ve just told you, I’m a huge welterweight and I can hold my own with them middleweights so I’m going to shock the world”.

Golovkin, who comes from Kazakhstan but lives in the United States of America, is regarded as the best pound-for-pound boxer following the retirement of Floyd Mayweather Jr in 2015.
“Do not write him off. These are two men who can land big punches and it can end at any time but Kell Brook is a serious athlete and deserves massive credit for taking this fight”. At one time, there was even a reported verbal agreement between the two combatants, per the Inquisitr.
Golovkin and Brook have both hoped for big fights only to see the best in their respective divisions pass on bouts, so the matchup makes sense. They can’t spend one to two months wasting their time on trying to negotiate a fight with someone that won’t ultimately agree to take the fight.
That famous “GGG” beaming smile all but disappeared with mention Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, who recently relinquished the WBC middleweight belt, and disappointingly won’t be fighting Gennady in the foreseeable future.
Despite the difficulties with negotiations, Hearn feels this is a temporary setback for Eubank Jr.
British title holder Eubank and unified world champion Golovkin had been expected to fight at London’s O2 Arena in September but after promoter Eddie Hearn claimed that Chris Eubank Sr wanted “full operational control” of the event, welterweight Kell Brook was announced as Golovkin’s next opponent. He has a record of 35-0, with 32 of those victories coming by way of knockout.
On October 17, 2015 Golovkin knocked out IBF Middleweight World Champion David Lemieux at Madison Square Garden in front of 20,548.
And he believes he is good enough to defeat Golovkin and become boxing’s biggest star.

“We have standard format for all pay-per-view fights, which is hugely lucrative and he would have made millions of pounds, but Chris Eubank senior was being extremely hard. I’m a huge welterweight, and I know I will carry my speed and accuracy and even more power through the weights”. This is the ultimate fight, one of the biggest global fights the country has seen in many years.
“Everyone is running away from GGG – I’m running towards him”.

He confirmed that the deal accepted by Brook was identical to what Eubank Jr was offered before the 24-hour deadline passed.
