Pregnancy hormones have been shown to intensify a woman’s emotional responses and that appears to be what was happening to Clarkson on stage. However, Kelly said in an interview, the first pregnancy was extremely hard and she wasn’t exactly looking forward to the experience of being pregnant.

The star was singing her heart-tugging track Piece By Piece when she started welling up and chose to share the news with her fans.
Clarkson took herself by surprise while she was having an emotional moment in front of the Staples Center crowd during her stop in Los Angeles.
