Kelly: Kaepernick highlighting issue that needs addressing
Colin Kaepernick said he has received death threats from a “couple of different avenues” over his on-going protest of the national anthem. Yet Kaepernick, despite having a almost $114 million contract with San Francisco, has not donated any of his yearly earnings to trying to fight poverty or trying to end black-on-black violence.

It is worth noting amid criticism that these protests are unpatriotic or cowardly acts that Kelly has always been a supporter of the United States Military, often quoting and referencing the Navy Seals and implementing numerous principles of sports science implemented by the armed forces into his program.
Kelly disputed a local columnist’s view Thursday that Kaepernick “took over” the 49ers locker room during a media scrum after their September 12 opening win over the Los Angeles Rams. “I think that’s important and ultimately the goal”. The cover photo wasn’t posed; it was taken before the 49ers’ Week 1 game against the Rams. “I think he’s asked questions about a subject and he’s answering those questions”.
He should turn down.
I do not mean to say that America is flawless. “I’m in the locker room”. “We can (have those disagreements)”. “They’re always upset when you protest these things”.
I didn’t ask him those questions.
Cohn: “We have a fundamental disagreement then”.
“That’s a great thing about this country”, Kelly said. Lowell seemed ot be piggy-backing off Grant’s article in his question of Kelly.
Colin Kaepernick, who once posed nude for ESPN magazine’s “Body Issue” and whose most famous gesture used to be kissing his biceps, is on the cover of TIME magazine – in his 49ers uniform, kneeling during the national anthem. “He’s done everything”, Kelly said.
Kaepernick, who has been on the receiving end of plenty of insults and boos since his protest began, said that his critics don’t care about what’s going on or they don’t understand it.
“There’s a lot of racism disguised as patriotism in this country”, Kaepernick said, as reported by the Sacramento Bee. And shouldn’t happen in this country.
Some people have suggested that Kaepernick’s protest is misguided because it doesn’t come with specific goals or a course of action for bringing about change, but that’s not really the point. Kelly gave the quarterback a rave review for both his commitment to football and raising awareness in society.
“When he’s here, he’s doing football”, Kelly said.
