Kimmel had read that pictures of Strahan had been removed backstage, but it wasn’t true, he noted. “It wasn’t like air kissing”.

It may be “Live with Kelly” now, but it’s clear Michael Strahan is still running the show. “We haven’t gotten around to it yet”, said Ripa.

She then laughed at the end but it was unclear if she was being serious or just joking about the situation.

All three late-night shows are all similar in that they usually have a monologue, interview guests, and all have some kind of musical act for nearly every episodes.

The victor was a party sized summer sausage, which appeared to be a paid promotion for Hickory Farms beef summer sausage.

But when the wheel comically landed on the peace of meat, Kimmel joked he was getting a call from his producer.

Howard Stern, whom Kimmel had spoken to earlier, had given him a list of “about 75 questions” to ask. “I’m like the ex-boyfriend you go back to for sex after you break up with your husband”, Kimmel quipped.

“You want somebody working there who’s comfortable working there”. The network has announced that a rotating cast of guest cohosts will fill the vacancy until a more permanent host is chosen to replace Strahan, who will begin his full-time opportunity with Good Morning America in September.

“I’m sure I will. You bet”, he said with a nod.

Perhaps it was Kimmel’s friendship with Ripa that stopped him from putting her on the spot with those openers.

“At some point it’s possible”.

“The last thing Ryan would like to add to his schedule is Live“, an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

“The sausage is leaving to go to ‘Good Moring America, ‘” he deadpanned, poking fun at Strahan’s impending new gig on “GMA”.

After missing four episodes, Ripa held hands with Strahan as she returned to the set on April 26 and joked that the “long national nightmare” was over.

‘After 26 years with this company, I earned the right. It was a genuine, ‘I’m going to miss you.

“We don’t fake hug and kiss”, she replied.

Just two days after Strahan departed the program, it unveiled a new logo and title.
