Kelly Ripa a no-show one day after Michael Strahan’s departure announcement
Daily Mail claimed, “Ripa is refusing to turn up to work until Strahan leaves the show”. With Kelly and Michael, but starting in September he’ll become a full time co-anchor alongside Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Lara Spencer and Amy Robach. The series got its start in 1983 as “The Morning Show”, with Philbin being paired with two cohosts before Gifford stuck. Seizing an opportunity, ABC said today that its Dancing With the Stars co-host Erin Andrews will guest-host tomorrow’s show with Strahan. This will either push Live! to a different time slot or it will go off the air, according to rumors. But I do want to say to all of our viewers out there, everybody who’s watched this show over the last four years…

Strahan’s departure was not handled in the best way.
EW has also learned that Ripa is sometimes kept out of the loop on certain developments involving the Live! show.
Gossip websites, including TMZ, claimed that Ripa feels betrayed by Strahan and ABC’s owner, Disney, because she wasn’t told about the move until Tuesday.
“I was reading some stuff and it sounded like I died”, he said on the episode.
Kelly Ripa is still “pretty pissed off” about Michael Strahan’s Tuesday announcement that he was departing Live! “Michael Strahan made a comment, whispering to me, ‘Man, I can’t believe I put up with this s***”.

“I’m always available to guest co-host…” She hasn’t said that herself, and her spokeswoman, Lauren Auslander, did not immediately return messages inquiring about Ripa’s whereabouts. This has truly changed my life to be here with her, and I know that the show will continue to be strong and great because of Kelly…Kelly, I thank you. Recently renewed through the 2019-20 season, “LIVE!” will begin seeking a new co-host this fall, ABC said.
