Kelly Ripa Announces When She’ll Return To ‘Live’

“We are a family and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday morning”, she added. She’s been doing her show for more than 15 years. “She could get a letter this weekend saying she’s required to turn up to work under her contract, and if she doesn’t show up, she’ll face being sued for damages, such as lost ad revenue”. Meanwhile, CNN reports that a source close to the situation said of Ripa, “She is beyond angry”. The television personality broke the news to her staff in an email late Friday night, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Ripa apparently couldn’t hold in her disappointment and sat out of Wednesday’s episode. But it was originally unclear when or if she would ever return. It is unclear what specific agreement was reached.

Consuelos re-tweeted a fan comment thanking “Entertainment Tonight” correspondent Cameron Mathison for his remarks on Ripa.

The move had been in the works for weeks.

But the 84-year-old TV vet is keeping his distance from the ABC drama while defending his former co-host. Ripa has supposedly gone silent in dealing with management as well.

Ripa has not appeared on her Disney/ABC syndicated daytime program since April 19 – the day she learned Strahan was joining “GMA” full-time this fall.

Philbin who co-hosted “LIVE!” with Kelly from 2001 to 2011 doesn’t intend to reunite with his former colleague. There were also rumors that GMA will stretch to three hours, leaving Kelly’s show in a lurch.

Many news outlets have written about that possibility in recent days.

When asked if he’d be willing to go back even on a temporary basis to host “Live!” again with Kelly, Regis said no way.

“He’s great!” He was great with the [New York] Giants; he was great on our show”, said Philbin.

Whether Strahan might leave earlier than September is “a conversation that has not been had yet”.

Until then, the two of them have a lot to talk about.

Strahan sent his own message while on air Thursday, and it’s clear he wants to make peace.
