Kelly Ripa, Michael Strahan share in Daytime Emmy award
What was once thought to be ideal chemistry between the pint-sized Ripa and her giant NFL Hall of Fame co-host is now being re-examined through a jaded lense – and tension is seen all over in retrospect.

Things have definitely been tense for these two since news broke that Strahan was leaving “Live” to work on “Good Morning America” – a career change apparently Ripa was completely unaware of. With Kelly and Michael at the ceremony in Los Angeles. Ripa returned to the show the next week.
But on Monday, Kelly and Michael walked out hand-in-hand where they showed off their gorgeous golden statues.
Live! With Kelly and Michael hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan won the Emmy for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host at the Daytime Emmys Sunday night. While the co-hosts did face some awkward moments this past week, the show’s Emmy win seemed to revive the excitement between the two, as they went on to interview Adrian Brody and Chadwick Boseman.
It’s a golden end to the co-hosts four years together, a long history that has been marred with controversy in recent weeks. The show is expected to cycle in various guest co-hosts with Ripa before making a decision on who will become her new permanent co-host.
‘After 26 years with this company, I earned the right. In one broadcast, she ushered his divorce into conversation, eliciting a surprised look from Strahan. But the juiciest rumor isn’t so much about the Ripa-Strahan feud, such as it is, but rather the way Ripa may have turned being “blindsided” into a big fat raise.
When Strahan first stared doing segment for that program, Ripa told producers of Live that it would be a problem because his focus was elsewhere.
Ripa reportedly might “leave” Live unless Michael’s replacement is either CNN’s Anderson Cooper or Bravo’s Andy Cohen.

Strahan’s move to another daytime talk show on the same network raised eyebrows.
