Kelly Ripa ‘no show’ on Live! with Kelly and Michael
That’s the claim coming from TMZ, which reports that Ripa is “livid” because she feels “blindsided” by the news, feeling “shockingly disrespected” by Disney’s top execs for not filling her in on their plans for Strahan. “Good Morning America” is ABC’s network morning show.

Kelly Ripa reportedly took a “sick day” after her co-host, Michael Strahan, announced he was leaving the show – without her knowledge.
In fact, E! News has learned that executives broke the news to her just after the show finished taping-around the same time everyone else first heard about it.
“Kelly welcomed me here, and I’ve learned so much from her, and she’s just been an awesome influence on me”, the former National Football League player, 44, said on Wednesday.
According to our spies in the industry Kelly is really, very pissed off that she was not told by Michael beforehand says a staffer at the show.
Well this doesn’t look good – a day after ABC announced Michael Strahan’s departure from “Live!”.
“Kelly welcomed me here”, he said. Ana Gasteyer was present as a guest co-host in her place.
Strahan said yesterday on the talk show that he will be joining the cast of “Good Morning America” full-time in September. Sources confirm to EW that a strained relationship exists between Strahan and Ripa, who is now threatening to stay away from the program for an undetermined amount of time.
He reminded the audience that he’s still got a few months to go before he abandons his chair and issued a plea: “You better not start crying because you’re going to make me cry”. “I love you.I’m not gonna cry on TV!”

“Live” co-hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan in happier days. In 2012, the morning show overtook Today in total viewers after a 16-year streak, but Today recently reclaimed the lead.
