Kenny Chesney calls cop to apologize for saying he had died
“Following Chesney’s announcement, the Folcroft Police Department called on Chesney via social media to correct his error, writing, “[Kenny Chesney] just said that officer Dorman passed away.THAT IS FALSE. Island’s supervised release was almost over at the time of the shooting, however, records indicate he hasn’t reported to his parole officer in almost a year and has missed five scheduled drug tests.

Officer Christopher Dorman, 25, was responding to a report of a drug deal in a Folcroft, Delaware County, apartment complex around 10 a.m. Friday.
TMZ posted video of Kenny Chesney telling the crowd about the shooting-and inaccurately reporting that the officer had passed away. He was arraigned Friday on attempted murder and related charges; he is being held on $1 million bail, awaiting a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, July 6, court records said.
When Chesney heard that Dorman is alive, he call the officer in his hospital room.
“He apologized for last night and wants to take Chris out to a football game and grab some beers!”
As Kenny Chesney was backstage getting ready for his show he was told about the police shooting and about a video that had been made by the wounded officer. “Officer Dorman has a long road ahead of him in his recovery process and could use all the support and prayers you can spare”.
After learning what Chesney said, the Folcroft Borough Police Department put out a statement disputing it. “I was so caught up in the moment”, Chesney said.

Dorman had been shot multiple times while on duty earlier in the week and was steadily recovering in a nearby hospital. He was flown by helicopter to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. He expressed honest confidence that Dorman would recover and return to the force – “I have no doubt he will”, Ruskowski said.
