He was taken to the Franklin County Detention Center. As the officer prepared to search the auto he spotted Hatcher using his cell phone light to look through his own vehicle.

Hatcher was a local stand-out for Trinity High School and was heavily recruited before landing at the University of Kentucky.

According to the Franklin Country Regional Jail, via the Courier-Journal, the charges against Hatcher are speeding, trafficking in marijuana, tampering with physical evidence and buy/possession of drug paraphernalia. The deputy found a quarter of a pound of marijuana hidden in Hatcher’s trousers and three quarters of marijuana in another bag on the floor. “In May 2014, Hatcher and Louisville wide receiver James Quick were cited for possession of marijuana in Quick’s apartment on the U-of-L campus”.

Hatcher, a 6-foot-3, 252-pound junior, has played outside linebacker and defensive end for the Wildcats.

Hatcher recorded 39 tackles, 5.5 for losses and two sacks in nine games for Kentucky last season.
