Kerry extends India visit, to join Obama at G-20 in China
Addressing a session at the Indian Institute of Technology here, he said one nation alone can not fight terror groups such as Daesh, Al Qaeda, LeT and Jaesh-e-Mohammad.

This was the second change in plans of the Kerry as his visit to three religious sites in Delhi was cancelled due to heavy rains earlier today. With the global system no longer divided between east and west and north and south, leading nations can not just ignore threats beyond our borders.
“More than 50,000 people have been killed. people define a great religion Islam in a way that doesn’t reflect that religion”. But he did say he had spoken recently with Pakistani officials about “the need for Pakistan to deprive any (terrorist) group of sanctuary”. The outgoing Government in the United States, showing concern and promise to nail the network of militant activities in India, is a victory for the pro-active diplomatic and political dialogue launched by the Modi Government.
He, however, singled out corruption and bad governance as one of the main reason for leaving youngsters frustrated.
Kerry said that though India is the world’s fastest growing major economy, its red tape and lack of transparency continues to discourage entrepreneurs and foreign investors. He said the USA and India are witnessing a defining moment in their relationship. “All the attendant problems that come with it (coal) vastly outstrip the cost”. A daunting but achievable challenge.
Even as the US Secretary of State John Kerry postponed his scheduled departure on Wednesday, his interaction with audiences at the IIT Delhi, where he joked at the waterlogging issue, hogged headline space in the media.
Also, there is also no information available yet on what would be his engagements in the next two days.

American support to right to protest was the highlight of a monsoon-drenched day that Kerry concluded with a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi whom he briefed about the S&CD.
