The husband of reality TV star and former singer Kerry Katona has been charged with beating her up at their home in East Sussex. Kay had reportedly lashed out at her after a drinking session that weekend.
Previous reports had suggested that their marriage was on the rocks before this incident, with Katona at one point allegedly kicking him out of the house because she had had enough of his “party lifestyle”.
Meanwhile, Kerry, 35, has since announced her decision to divorce George, with whom she has 17-month-old daughter Dylan, after 11 months of marriage following the incident. “Her focus now will be on her gorgeous children.”.
‘It’s sad for everybody but the most important thing is that Kerry’s okay and the kids are okay, and they are – I’ve spoken to them, ‘ he told Now magazine.
He added: “I spoke to Kerry”.
Katona has children Molly, aged 14 and Lilly-Sue, aged 12 with former husband Brian McFadden, and Heidi, aged 8 and Max, aged 7 from her marriage to Mark Croft. Kerry’s had a rough run.
