Kesha Cancels Concert at Loyola University Chicago Due to “Personal Reasons”

She even went as far as to claim his actions led to her 60-day stint in the Timberline Knolls rehab clinic in IL two years ago, and asked to be released from the deal with Dr. Luke, claiming she was unable to continue with her music career, because she is prohibited from working with another producer.

The “Timber” singer, who was scheduled to perform tomorrow (February 26) at Loyola University Chicago, has pulled out for “personal reasons”, the school’s Department of Programming announced on Facebook last night (February 24).

A statement said: “Kesha has expressed her disappointment in having to cancel, but she feels that this is the best decision for her at this time”. There’s no merit in pushing yourself beyond your sanity, and we trust that her fans will be happy that she’s taking a moment for herself.

“BREAKING: Kesha’s management canceled her appearance at Loyola, but THE RALLY TO SUPPORT KESHA AND END RAPE CULTURE IS STILL ON”, rally organizer Melissa Haggerty wrote on the event page Wednesday.

Students with tickets to her Friday concert will be issued full refunds.

In the aftermath of the judge’s decision, #FreeKesha trended nationwide on Twitter as a show of support with Kesha. Titled “Loyola In Solidarity With Kesha” on Facebook, the rally is slated to go forward, despite the cancelled show.

While Illinois Kesha fans are planning to rally in Chicago, Billboard is reporting that another set of Kesha’s loyal supporters are planning a protest in NY outside Sony headquarters on the same day. “I’m so, so beyond humbled and thankful for all of the support I’ve received from everyone”.
