On Friday, a New York Supreme Court judge ruled that, despite Kesha’s allegations that Dr. Luke drugged and abused her both sexually and verbally, the singer must remain tethered to his Kemosabe record label.

The 28-year-old “Tik Tok” singer had sought to nullify her recording contract because it brought her into contact with super-producer Dr Luke, whose real name is Luke Gottwald, reported New York Daily News. In an affidavit included with Kesha’s injunction request, Universal Music Group CEO Jim Urie wrote, “If Kesha can not immediately resume recording and having her music promoted, marketed, and distributed by a major label, her career is effectively over”.
Kornreich said that “decimates” Kesha’s argument to be let free from her contract on the grounds of abuse. Said contract, Kesha argued, was “plummeting her career past the point of no return”. The contract is for 6 more albums with Sony and the approving her request would undermine the state’s law.
On Friday, Kesha Rose Sebert, aka Kesha, was denied an injunction in her legal battle with producer Dr. Luke, aka Lukasz Gottwald. His lawyers and lawyers for Sony who are his partner in his record company claim that Kesha is violating the terms of her five-album contract by not recording any new material.
Outside the courthouse, fans gathered to protest in support of the singer.
A decision has been made in a NY courtroom regarding Kesha’s case against producer Dr. Luke.
Her lawyers say that the abuse caused the development of an eating disorder and suicidal thoughts which led to two months spent in a rehabilitation clinic.

Kesha’s fans started a petition called “Free Kesha”, which urged people to sign and send a message to “tell Sony not to force her to work with her alleged abuser”.
