Luke and his Kasz Money blamed Pebe and Rovner for cajoling Kesha into repudiating her recording agreements. He also claimed Pebe attempted to extort him if he didn’t let Kesha out of the deal.

A judge in NY dismissed Dr. Luke’s case against Pebe, because Dr. Luke was unable to prove that Pebe had control over Kesha.

In response to her original lawsuit, which was filed in October 2014, Luke – whose real name is Lukasz Sebastian Gottwald – then filed a counter-suit against the Die Young singer, accusing her of defamation.

Justice Kornreich, however, agreed with Rovner’s attorney that he was acting in the scope of his authority as a manager for the goal of increasing Kesha’s earnings.

“In the word’s of Gottwald’s lawsuit: “[The acrimony between the two men was] due to the fact, among other things, that in numerous conferences regarding Kesha’s career which were attended by Gottwald, Rovner and third parties, Rovner made suggestions regarding creative and business matters which Gottwald rejected.

Said the judge: “Although plaintiffs allege that Rovner hates and is jealous of Gottwald, that is not enough”.

Separate legal action was launched against Kesha’s mother which accused her of fuelling her daughter’s anger, but Wednesday, February 3 saw a NY judge dismiss the case, citing jurisdiction issues and claiming a lack of evidence to prove Sebert had “control” over Kesha.
