Another Houston Astro has been rewarded for a great first half of the season with a spot on the American League All-Star game. “I just don’t know if anyone’s been better”. “He’s been at the center of all we’ve done”. Whether or not Keuchel is the starter in the All Star game is yet to be determined.

“We swung the bats extremely well. “Multiple guys have the qualifications”.

The Indians lost their third straight game and fell to 15-24 at Progressive Field.

Cleveland are 3-13 in their last 16 Monday games and the over is 9-3 in Carrasco’s last 12 starts on grass while the Indians are 6-2 in Carrasco’s last 8 starts.

Shortstop Eugenio Suarez hit a tie-breaking solo home run in the eighth inning, leading the Cincinnati Reds to a 3-2 victory over the Washington Nationals.

In the top of the fourth inning, Astros center fielder Jake Marisnick led off with a single, but was erased on Jose Altuve’s double-play groundball to third base.

David Murphy would be credited with an RBI in the seventh on Cleveland’s second sacrifice fly of the evening.

“He didn’t feel like he had his best stuff and it seemed like, because of that, he kind of went away from the things that make him good”, manager Terry Francona said of Carrasco, who had won three of his last four starts.

The Astros sent eight men to the plate in the first inning while taking a 4-0 lead.

Rasmus bounced a double off the wall in center field, scoring Correa and sending Gattis to third. Marwin Gonzalez homered and drove in two runs, while Colby Rasmus also had two RBIs. He gave up a whopping 6 hits that time, but once more without any walks. Keuchels dominating game was not, shall we say, unexpected. There are guys a lot more nasty than I am.

The right-hander allowed five runs in four innings Monday, including a solo homer by rookie Preston Tucker, as the Houston Astros beat Cleveland 9-4.

An RBI triple by Indians right fielder Brandon Moss in the bottom of the fourth made it 5-2.

Jason Kipnis, selected to the All-Star team as a reserve at second base, was 1 for 3 with a sacrifice fly for Cleveland and extended his home hitting streak to 29 games. Kipnis will be the Indians’ only representative…. Keuchel leads the American League with 11 wins, is second in ERA (2.14), and tops the Major Leagues in innings pitched. In franchise history, the Astros have only had three pitchers start an All-Star Game: Roger Clemens (2004), Mike Scott (1987) and J.R. Richard (1980).
