Kevin Durant Could Be Lured To Knicks If They Hire Scott Brooks
There has been a lot of chatter lately suggesting that the Golden State Warriors will be in the mix for Kevin Durant when he becomes a free agent after the season.

Brooks coached the Thunder for seven years before he was sacked after the 2014-15 season.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are about to have an issue on their hands.
The New York Knicks have a coaching search to do, and it’ll be one of the most fascinating ones in a while. NY will try to attract free agents in the next two summers, and the coaching hire could affect those pitches in a major way. And each would present an interesting candidacy for the Knicks’ opening.
“Coaches such as Tom Thibodeau, Mark Jackson, Jeff Van Gundy, Jeff Hornacek, David Blatt and Scott Brooks are available”.
The connection between Scott Brooks and Kevin Durant should be pretty easy to understand.
The ESPN report also reveals that the Knicks chances at landing Durant took a hit after dismissing Derek Fisher, but that hiring Brooks “could get Durant’s attention”.

The only problem for Brooks, like numerous candidates, is that Jackson does not have a prior relationship with him, and he does not run the Triangle Offense. With Durant out there, though, perhaps they will not completely dismiss Brooks. The Knicks have been a revolving door at the point guard position, and the “Big 3” of Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony and Kristapz Porzingis should excite any organization, and will likely impress Russell Westbrook, who is already used to sharing the ball with a superstar in Durant. Brooks has never played for a team with Jackson as the head coach, and he has never coached underneath him, either. Durant’s the longest of long shots in summer, but the short-term trade deadline directives are unchanged: “The Grizzlies are determined to use the trade deadline to better the roster for a playoff push”.
