After a forgettable 2014-15 season, which involved multiple procedures on his broke foot, Kevin Durant is clearly to play with no restrictions as training camps open in less than a week.

Kevin Durant has been fully cleared for training camp without restrictions.

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant, who only played in 27 games a year ago due to foot and ankle injuries, has been fully cleared for training camp, general manager Sam Presti announced on Wednesday. He had surgery last October and returned to play in December with some pain.

“With any of our players that are coming off injuries, were going to be watching, managing practice, recovery time, ” Presti said. “Happy for him because he’s been so committed and so disciplined to that process of getting back on the floor”.

According to Presti, Durant has been involved in 5-on-5 lately and has not had any limitation in his on-court activity.

Dakari Johnson, as expected, will go to the Oklahoma City Blue (Developmental league of the Thunder) this season. In Durant’s 10 games against the Warriors since Green was drafted, KD is averaging 28.5 points, including a career-high 54 point outburst during his MVP season. Durant’s minutes will likely be limited in the preseason, but Presti noted that’s the case every year. However, it looks like Durant is all healed up just in time for the Thunder to make a run at the Western Conference before he becomes an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2016.

“Average minutes – that’s probably going to be the most important thing”, Presti added.
