The crowd’s reaction to Durant, meanwhile, was much different than Sunday, when fans at Staples Center in Los Angeles – home to the Warriors’ main rival, the Los Angeles Clippers – booed Golden State’s new free-agent signing.

The rout was a coming out party for Kevin Durant at Oracle Arena, home of his new team the Golden State Warriors. United States’ Carmelo Anthony drives against China’s Zhou Peng during the first half of an exhibition basketball game Tuesday, July 26, 2016, in Oakland, Calif.

Durant drained a three-point jump shot seven seconds into the contest and followed that with a dunk as he scored the first 10 points for the Americans. It was a precautionary measure for him to remain out and he was back on the bench with teammates by the fourth quarter, seen with a smile on his face.

“You wouldn’t want to be introduced after KD (Durant) in line”. “The crowd, the welcoming for Kevin was fantastic”. With the shooting skill that this team possesses, the 2016 Men’s National team could potentially make a run at the current record for most points scored in an olympic game, which was set by Team USA in 2012 in their 156-73 blowout of Nigeria. Curry says he reached out to Durant to converse a bit about the matter now that the two will be starring together for the Golden State Warriors.

Spain, runners-up at the last two Olympics, are expected to dominate Group B play and perhaps represent the toughest challenger for the United States, a team they have pushed on several occasions. He put on a little shooting show after the game.

Tuesday’s taunt wasn’t the only reason Thunder fans view Durant as a traitor, now more than ever before. “So, oh yeah, just asking what he was doing for the rest of the summer and told him when I would come back and stuff like that”.

“The one thing we should be able to do better than everyone is play defense”, said head coach Mike Krzyzewski.

Now obviously Green’s statistics won’t look similar to this for the Warriors next season, but the number to pay attention to here is the field goal attempts. The big men in the middle also made valuable contributions with 27 points combined from DeMarcus Cousins and DeAndre Jordan.

In the 107 to 57 defeat of China on Tuesday, DeMar DeRozan made his intentions for the show evident.
