What do you pay a player that has led you to a NBA Championship one season, then turn around and lead you to a record-breaking 73 win season in two years?

Coach K did a spot on the Jim Rome Show this afternoon during which he defends Durant’s controversial decision to leave the franchise that drafted him.

“We just want to play as well as we can, and be worthy of winning the gold, so they’ll be worthy of continuing to win the respect of our country and the world”.

Durant opened up about the reason the Lakers didn’t make the cut Monday following practice with Team USA.

“I didn’t leave my bed, because I was like, ‘Man, if I walk outside somebody might just try to hit me with their vehicle or say anything negative to me”. However it just makes me cringe to realize how different his decision would of made me feel had he stayed in Oklahoma. Durant stated he wanted to be surrounded by positivity.

“Well, I think we had hope [of signing Durant]”, Welts said.

The guy was so scared about hurt and angry fans that he hid in a Hamptons mansion for a few days.

The Golden State Warriors are playing on burrowed time, but that will all end sometime next year when it’s time to resign Stephen Curry. “I think there was a lot of screaming and yelling going on in the Myers’ cabin at that point in time”.

DeMar DeRozan, Kyle Lowry, Paul George, Kyrie Irving, DeAndre Jordan, Jimmy Butler, Kevin Durant, Harrison Barnes, DeMarcus Cousins, Draymond Green, Carmelo Anthony, Klay Thompson, Jerry Colangelo (managing director). “We accomplished what our goal was when I first got drafted, which was to win a championship”.

With the Golden State Warriors wrapping up Summer League play this past week, it means that basketball is all but done until training camp arrives and the team gets ready for the preseason. “I know The Based God definitely knew and had it foreseen”.

Paul said of other free agents, including close friend Dwyane Wade – who left the Miami Heat to sign with the Chicago Bulls – “everybody that ended up where they are, I’m happy for them”.

“I’m just going to experience everything the way I experience it. I always think about the game of basketball, so if I focus on the game of basketball, I don’t worry about if I’m a hero or a villain”.
