Kevin Durant receives warm welcome from Golden State Warriors Warriors

The player who built himself as well as grew up for the Thunder in an Oklahoma City community has been now part of a Golden State Warriors team. He was introduced at a press conference today that featured the revelation of a few things that weren’t clear beforehand.

Barkley told ESPN Radio’s Mike and Mike that he’s “disappointed” in Durant’s decision and suggested that it was at least “like” cheating.

Durant also said breaking the news to longtime Thunder teammate Russell Westbrook was also hard.

Durant’s career, if he went to the Warriors.

“T$3 his is the National Basketball Association, and players move on, players play for different teams, teams try to get better”. “That was the idea of bringing him here”. “I know I haven’t changed as a person”. “We lost in the Finals”. You go to GSW, the team who beat you, when you’re already on a title contender?

The Golden State Warriors used to be the Washington Wizards. They are good – really good – with or without him. It was a bit of an odd comment, although well-intentioned. It’s a baffling statement when viewed out of context, but it drew laughter from the media.

Some sports commentators called it a “weak move” and said that he was just “chasing rings”, but who are they to say that Durant shouldn’t exercise his right to sign with the team that he chooses.

Durant singled out Iguadola as one of the most convincing members of that group.

Durant even spoke to Hall of Famer Jerry West along the way to help him weigh his choice. Barkley, however, said truly great players were not judged by how many medals they won, but how they made teams better. “Nothing more than that”.

In 2014, Durant was crowned as the regular season MVP with the Thunder, with averages of 32.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 5.5 assists. The Warriors, after officially locking up their newest prize, will enter the season as favorites to win the title, which was pretty clearly Durant’s primary goal from the outset, and they could have a historic season. But Durant stressed the move to the Warriors is what he wants to do.

“I haven’t made the decision, but he might start”, Warriors coach Steve Kerr joked.

The Warriors put up a large sign welcoming Durant at Oracle Arena.
