Kevin Durant says free agency comes down to ‘a basketball decision’
The Oklahoma City Thunder forward made the motivation behind his upcoming decision pretty clear during a recent interview with The Oklahoman’s Anthony Slater, and, unfortunately for Boston, it has nothing to do with his favorite seafood dish.

The NBA Finals recently concluded this past Sunday night with the Cleveland Cavaliers taking home the Larry O’Brien trophy, which means that now all of the focus will be on the offseason.
For Durant’s part, he reportedly toured real estate options during a Super Bowl eve visit to the Bay Area and had his mother do the same. It would be unusual to have Durant on the team if he leaves the Thunder in free agency, but odder things have definitely happened in National Basketball Association history.
The Warriors have eight unrestricted free agents of their own, including swingman Harrison Barnes and center Festus Ezeli, both of whom are expected to attract significant attention from rival teams this summer. “We talk so much about minutes being played and resting guys during the year and the workload and it’s too many games, I knew guys were going to think about that”, Durant said. But what will that roster look like by the time the dust settles in free agency in July?
Kevin Durant is in line to be one of the most coveted free agents to ever hit the market, and a report Tuesday suggests the Golden State Warriors are the team to watch, provided Durant doesn’t re-sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Nike Basketball and designer Leo Chang continue to grow and adapt to Kevin Durant’s footwear needs as his game continues to evolve.

It’s feasible Curry and Durant would mutually agree to take less salary but next summer the definition of “max contract” changes with labor negotiations that might all but eliminate the idea.
