Kevin Durant Says Giannis Antetokounmpo Is One Thing Away From Being ‘Amazing’

Outside of the big three the Bucks got just 26 total points from the rest of the team with 12 of those points belonging to Jerryd Bayless and nine to Greg Monroe.

Former MVP Kevin Durant, who paced the Thunder with a game-high 32 points and 12 rebounds, took notice of Antetokounmpo’s progress.

Late in the first quarter of this one the Thunder were up pretty big and the Bucks were looking for some momentum to start getting back into this one.

Giannis Antetokounmpo posted his third career triple-double for Milwaukee (26-37) with 26 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.

But the Thunder withstood the Bucks from there, holding Milwaukee without a field goal for about a 7-minute stretch of the fourth quarter.

With losses in six of their first eight games coming out of the All-Star break, the second half of the National Basketball Association season has been frustrating for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Bucks did not give up the fight easily and fired an 8-0 run to make it 100-94 – with just 21.9 ticks to go in the final period. But the Greek Freak has been a bright spot for Milwaukee, scoring his third triple-double in seven games. Total fouls – Oklahoma City 23, Milwaukee 24.

The three triple-doubles are the first of Antetokounmpo’s career and all three have come since February 22. Westbrook’s bucket sparked a 15-4 run that put Milwaukee away.

The Bucks finished their five-game homestand with a 2-3 record.

Kanter added 18 points and 12 rebounds in 20 minutes off the bench.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks’ with 26 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, while Jabari Parker also had a great game with 26 points. The Thunder will be back in action on Wednesday night when the Clippers come to town with tip set for 8:30 p.m.
