Kevin Durant thinks National Basketball Association gave Draymond Green special treatment

But the Warriors will do it with Green, who on Monday was hit with a Flagrant 2 foul (up from a Flagrant 1) and fined $25,000 after a league review of his kick of Steven Adams on Sunday, but avoided a suspension.

He went on to say that the Russell Westbrook of the Thunder “kicks out his feet on every three and there is contact – I mean, that’s just part of the game”.

Both teams were forced to strategize for Game 4 without knowing whether Green, who finished seventh in this year’s National Basketball Association most valuable player voting, would be on the court. The incident seemed to fuel the Oklahoma City Thunder as they went on a 32-7 run to end the 1st half which essentially put the game away.

Honestly I think it was intentional. The All-Star forward had his foul upgraded to a flagrant-2 and received a suspension. And the fact that he gets less than 3 minutes a game, might even lead the league to wonder if he was put on the floor for the goal of going after Biyombo.

“I would hope not”, Warriors team mate Stephen Curry said when asked whether he felt Green would be sanctioned. They’re not going to suspend him. “You know Russell [Westbrook] said I did it on goal, but he’s a part of the superstar group that started all this acting in the NBA”, Green said on Monday.

It’s not even the first time Green has come into contact with Steven Adams’ nether regions this series.

“Draymond’s just got to understand the circumstances, which he does and I’m sure he’ll be fine”, Kerr said. “It usually helps me play well”.

“They’re good”, coach Steve Kerr said. I’m like, ‘What happened?’ I’m standing at the 3-point line, I look at Andrew Bogut, and he looked at the replay, and he was like [cringes].

Green told The Undefeated he would prefer not to comment on news of his penalty and he is focused on Game 4 versus the Thunder. “I think individually we’re so competitive in that moment that we wanted to do something about it, we didn’t allow ourselves to work together”.

Why did Jones get suspended but not Green? Green maintained that he did so unintentionally, explaining that he was selling the foul call.

The league wasn’t going to take the risk of shortening the series by suspending the second best player of the Warriors’ roster; justifying the phrase which Durant kept on reiterating during his interview- “it’s just business”. But I know what happened.
