Kevin Durant won’t play for Warriors in Game 2 of playoffs
Washington preened at every opportunity – not many between a seemingly unending cascade of foul calls – in a 109-101 Game 2 victory over the Hawks on Wednesday.

Kevin Durant had 32 points in almost 36 minutes of Game 1 against Evan Turner, right, and Portland. The official designation of “questionable” suggests that a player has a 50 percent chance of playing, though the fact that Durant, Livingston and Barnes haven’t participated in a team workout since at least Sunday’s Game 1 win over the Trail Blazers doesn’t help their chances.
The Warriors will also be missing reserve guard Shaun Livingston (sprained right index finger).
Kerr said he expects Durant to return quickly, but added “you have to be careful” when the injury is a strained muscle. Portland also hit 11 3-pointers in the loss, but just couldn’t quite keep pace.
“Sometimes we get caught up in looking for him too much when he’s not open because we feel he can do something spectacular above the rim”, Stephen Curry said.
“I mean, if (Lillard and McCollum) go for 75 and lose again, we’ll take that result”. We learned that we’ve got to do this collectively.
Yes, the Warriors were down just one of four All-Stars, but they were vulnerable going into this one.
Ian Clark scored 13 points, Andre Iguodala contributed 10 rebounds, six assists and six points, and Zaza Pachulia scored 10 points. C Ed Davis (L shoulder surgery), C Festus Ezeli (L knee surgery) and C Jusuf Nurkic (R leg fracture) were listed as out.

The Warriors thrived in 19 games without Durant, but that’s not the point here.

The Wizards capitalized on their first home-court advantage since 1979, winning twice in Washington before heading to Atlanta for Game 3 Saturday. Coming off one of the greatest individual regular seasons in National Basketball Association history, Stephen Curry suffered multiple injuries in last year’s postseason and missed six games.
