Kevin Feige: Spider-Man belongs in Marvel Universe
We’re seeing this version of the team doing this thing to save the universe, the galaxy, however you want to put it, and we’ll kind of see where that goes.

“But going forward, and certainly as they do more shows and cast them with such great actors as they have – particularly in Daredevil – that may occur”, says Feige. The Spider-Man standalone film precedes both of them, hitting theaters on July 28, 2017, while the next Marvel film to come out is Captain America: Civil War on May 6, 2016.
During a promotional Q&A about the release of The Avengers: Age of Ultron on DVD/Blu-ray, the head honcho at Marvel revealed many exciting things, including the fact that he considers Captain America: Civil War the ending of Captain America’s trilogy.
“There’s a gauntlet that needs to be filled”, teased Feige. “We always operate with those alternate timelines available, and ready to shift”. The President stated, “There’s a lot of characters in ‘The Winter Soldier, ‘ but it still felt like a very singular and relatively simple thrill ride”. Addressing the two-part Avengers: Infinity War, Feige confirmed that there will be changes. All of the Avengers except the Hulk and Thor are announced for the film, in addition to Ant-Man and the debuting Spider-Man and Black Panther. The connective is gravy, doesn’t drive the train. According to Feige, the “Spider-Man” standalone movie is Marvel’s top priority to introduce the character to MCU in a proper way.
His answer contained a little nugget of information: Marvel has contingency story plans in the far-off case the company is able to get back the movie character rights for a few of the properties they don’t now control.
“Making that agreement with Amy [Pascal] and Mike [De Luca] and Tom Rothmans at Sony was great and really awesome”.
Feige and Latcham remained mum on any of the details regarding Spider-Man’s own film in 2017, though he did say audiences would learn how long Peter Parker has been active as Spider-Man.

The rebooted “Spider-Man” will be released sometime in 2017. They also talked about cycling out the current Avengers roster, which viewers already saw begin to happen at the end of Age of Ultron, though the expectation is Infinity War will reunite the full arsenal of characters. Avengers: Age of Ultron is out on 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray, DVD, Digital SD and On Demand on October 2nd.
