Kevin Harvick wins long, wacky race at Bristol
Kevin Harvick outlasted the competition to win Sunday’s rain-delayed Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Harvick used the lower groove several times to stick and move past drivers on the way to winning the rain-delayed, water-logged Sprint Cup race Sunday night.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Denny Hamlin, Austin Dillon, Chris Buescher, Carl Edwards, Jimmie Johnson, Jamie McMurray, AJ Allmendinger, and Joey Logano rounded out the rest of the Top-10 finishers behind Harvick.
Harvick’s auto owner and fellow competitor, Tony Stewart, struggled in his final race at Bristol Motor Speedway, bringing home a thirtieth place finish. He made slight contact with second-place Joey Logano, but third-place Brad Keselowski pounded Busch’s No. 41 auto. Dryers are on the track, as well as the pace auto. “And it’s been one of those deals where things have just not gone exactly right”.
“We haven’t really even got going so I think until we get some laps and get racing it is really kind of hard to say how it’s going to go”, Elliott said. The finish was postponed until Sunday when rains hit the track after just 48 laps were turned Saturday night, and then the rescheduled start was delayed another 3 1/2 hours by more nasty weather on Sunday. That inside with the rosin and the VHT, if you don’t hit it exactly right you lose a lot of time.
While Keselowski’s tactic to many diehards was just a traditional Bristol bump-and-run, it’s sure to stir up a Busch-Keselowski tussle that frequently goes from zero-to-60 in seconds.
However, when Ku. Busch took the lead on lap 373, the Monster Energy vehicle got loose on the back straightaway and collected Keselowski. “I tried to make up for it and got loose”. After leading 256 laps, Busch felt as if something broke from his auto. Really exhausted of losing races here because of parts failures. That’s stupid. So, I don’t know. “I put it on the edge to try to win the. race and just missed the line”. “We’ve been having parts failures here, so something we’ve got to address and fix”.

THEY SAID IT: “The person that’s really the biggest moron out there is the spotter of the 46 and driver of the 46 (Justin Allgaier)”. The new leader in that regard is Jeff Gordon, but it was announced this week he will not race at Michigan International Speedway regardless of Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s health. On Lap 307, Kurt Busch nudged Kyle Larson in Turn for fourth place to ignite the fifth caution.
