Carolina Hurricanes’ Cam Ward (30) stops a shot on the goal by New York Rangers’ Kevin Hayes (13) during the second period of an NHL hockey game Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, in New York. The team didn’t come out unscaved though, defenseman Kevin Klein went out with a muscle strain early in the first period, and never returned.
