Kevin Love ‘feels good’ after Cavs practice
Kevin Love was a full participant in the Cleveland Cavaliers’ practice on Saturday, which marks the first time he’s done so since separating his shoulder in May.

I was pretty anxious, Love said on October. 10 when practice ended. “As far as getting the strength back, getting the range of motion, I feel pretty good, so I am looking forward to getting into a few more contact, getting into a rhythm and getting out there as quickly as I can”. As far as progressing from one-on-one to three-on-three, I was ready to get back out there in the five-on-five. “He’s been very anxious to play with the guys, but we’ve been holding him back because we want to stick with our plan for him“.
Cavaliers point guard Mo Williams likely won’t play at Ohio State in Monday night’s preseason game against the Memphis Grizzlies, coach David Blatt said. The star power forward is pegged to return to actual game action when the Cavaliers face the Indiana Pacers in a preseason game on Thursday. “We could throw him out there [on Monday or Tuesday], but I don’t think it’s necessary at this point”. It would keep him out of the playoffs entirely and required surgery.
LeBron James can be counted among the teammates happy to see Love progressing as well as he has.
“He looked healthy”, James said. He’s going to be so good for us.
“I don’t want to say (parting ways) is best for both sides because we worked together well”, James said of his decade-plus tenure with the fast-food giant.
We have gone through a progression with him to get back into five-on-five play. “But we came to a mutual agreement to move on”. The 6-5, 205-pounder spent last season with Paris-Levallois in the French LNB Pro A League. If it were up to him, he’d be back on the court, but he understands he needs to follow the rehab protocol for his injury. Add to that power forward Tristan Thompson still in limbo after showing no signs of agreeing to a long-term deal with the team any time soon.

“He’d been hungry to play”, Blatt said.
