Key & Peele’s First Feature Film ‘Keanu’ Gets Red Band Trailer and Poster
If that plot sounds familiar, it’s because it’s a not so subtle reference to the Keanu Reeves movie, John Wick, wherein Reeves plays a former assassin who seeks revenge for his murdered dog.

Anyone who has caught just one sketch from Key & Peeles fabulous television series will know that the duo have been bringing the amusing for quite some time now. The trailer’s strength lies in Key and Peele’s unbelievable impressions and deft handling of black culture, which is unsurprising because that’s the combination that made them famous in the first place.
Basically, Keanu sees Jordan Peele struggling to get over the demise of a relationship. Even that relationship is doomed to failure though, because Keanu is soon stolen, and, with Keegan-Michael Key in tow, the duo soon set out to find the missing kitty. It takes them on a gritty, violent journey and they come face to face with a gangster kitten.
Comedy Central’s Key & Peele may have ended, but the collaboration between stars Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele is still very much alive on the big screen.
Straight up: I can not believe this is an actual trailer for an actual movie.

If you’re a Key and Peele fan, you’ve probably experienced a period of mourning and withdrawal since the final episode aired last September. Coming from long-time Key & Peele director Peter Atencio, the first red band trailer has now arrived.
