Thursday night’s National Football League season opener, the Super Bowl 50 rematch between the Panthers and Broncos, is an unappetizing offering in fantasy terms.

The first game of the National Football League season will be a rematch of Super Bowl 50.
This marks the first time since 1970 that Super combatants have met in Week 1 of the ensuing season.
Denver is 25-4 SU in their last 29 home games, but there might be some drop-off from the 2012 to mid-2014 form of Peyton Manning to new Broncos starting QB Trevor Siemian, who has yet to throw a regular-season pass.
Veteran Case Keenum will start at quarterback for the Rams, but the offense will rely on second-year running back Todd Gurley, who may battle Peterson and Elliott for the rushing title this year.
Matchup to watch: Broncos C Matt Paradis vs. Panthers DT Kawann Short: Paradis is the only starter in place from the Super Bowl 50 starting offensive line of the Broncos. Can Carolina’s Cam Newton rebound and claim his first Super Bowl ring?
Last season with Benjamin injured Newton spread the ball around and kept defenses guessing. Denver Will harass Cam Newton, and stuff the run throughout the game. Third-year safety Tre Boston will assume Coleman’s role at free safety.
Madden laughed as he recalled the last time he saw a team devoted to the run.
Bradberry and Worley have started at cornerback during the preseason, with Benè Benwikere seeing time at nickel corner. Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders are still stars at wide receiver, but will be challenged here against a strong Carolina defense.
This is the Panthers biggest game so far, as they’d like to make up for their Super Bowl loss. However Miller is surrounded by other defenders who can make plays so the offensive line will need to work as a unit to keep the stout Broncos front seven from taking over the game.
Greg Olsen – In Super Bowl 50, tight end Greg Olsen had four catches on nine targets and commanded a lot of attention from the Denver secondary and linebackers.
Denver didn’t need great quarterback play to defeat Carolina on February 7. The Panthers had 44 sacks and forced 39 turnovers a year ago. The Carolina Panthers are going to face-off against the Denver Broncos in the first game tonight.
Denver also used Trevathan to spy Newton and blitz when the Panthers quarterback stayed in the pocket.
Regardless, the main offensive weapon will be the age-defying superback Peterson, who barged for another 1,485 yards rushing a year ago.
The lack of running game forced Newton to attempt 41 passes against Denver; he finished with 265 yards passing, one interception and a 55.4 quarterback rating.

According to a report by ESPN, with J.J. Watt finally back from a back injury, having passed his physical exam on Sunday coach Bill O’Brien and his teammates feel a positive uplift by his mere presence. The situation has changed in Carolina since Benjamin’s absence after Newton led the Panthers to a 15-1 record and an NFC championship in 2015.
