KFC Is Latest Fast Food Restaurant To Test Delivery
For Kentucky Fried Chicken, it is not enough that customers don’t have to make the fried chicken.

Since its founding in 2013, DoorDash has grown to 18 markets and more than 250 cities.
People in Los Angeles and San Francisco will be able to have food delivered from Thursday, KFC said, adding that it expects to expand the delivery service into Houston by the end of this year.
This holiday season, you can always have “Grandma’s” fried chicken delivered instead of making it yourself.
The link-up with DoorDash will allow KFC stores to deliver complete meal replacements.
The story said that all the regular menu items will be available, but that a few price markups will apply, along with delivery fees between $5 and $7.
Although KFC’s Chief Information Officer Chris Caldwell said it’s too early to estimate a timeline as to when the service will be offered nationwide, the chain does plan to ramp up testing rapidly.
KFC’s rival Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen Inc. doesn’t deliver in the USA, but it does at global locations. There are more than 4,300 KFC restaurants in the United States.
However, the companies hope mobile order systems will smooth out the delivery process. He goes on to add that this type of partnership is the first like it for KFC despite trying in-house delivery in the past.
The trial follows DoorDash’s successful test and partnership with fellow YUM Brands chain Taco Bell over the summer.
