Khans’ beef should be with Clinton, who backed Iraq war

Not to mention, this is arguably one of the most contentious eras in U.S. politics ever, so it’s not very often you see any level of support between the two major parties. Obama asked during a White House news conference.

Several surveys now show Clinton pulling ahead of Trump, while the race had been virtually a dead heat after Trump claimed the Republican nomination at his party’s national convention two weeks ago.

Speaking at a rally in Columbus, Ohio, on Monday night, Mr Trump said: “I’m afraid the election is going to be rigged”.

In less than a week, Trump has managed to claim that the upcoming election will be “rigged”, attack the father of a slain Muslim American soldier, and claim that Russian Federation is not involved in Ukraine.

Requests to Trump’s campaign for additional explanation were not returned. Trump said Ryan had sought his endorsement, but that as of now he is only “giving it very serious consideration”.

The Republican lawmaker called Trump “deeply flawed in endless ways”, “unrepentant” and “self-involved”.

The three-term lawmaker representing the 22nd District in upstate NY harshly criticised the real estate magnate, saying he is “unfit to serve our party” and adding that he can not vote for someone who is “unrepentant in all things”.

Mr Hanna wrote: “While I disagree with her on many issues, I will vote for Mrs Clinton”.

A CBS News poll shows Clinton, the country’s top diplomat from 2009 to 2013, with a significant edge over Trump, a one-time television reality show host, on the question of which candidate is better prepared to be president.

Republican Chris Christie, a Trump ally once viewed by Trump as a potential running mate, joined the fray on Tuesday, calling criticisms of the Khan family “inappropriate”.

McCain, the party’s 2008 presidential nominee, faces a Republican primary for reelection in Arizona this month. If you look at history, the Democrats usually win presidential elections where they stick to that message and present the voters with a plausible candidate to pull that off. Think of Jimmy Carter in 1976, Bill Clinton in 1992, and Barack Obama in 2008.

The challenge now for Trump is cutting into the major deficits he is facing among certain groups where he trails not just Clinton, but Mitt Romney’s levels in 2012: groups like college-educated voters, which Romney won by 4 percentage points in exit polls, but where Trump is now losing in the double digits, according to a new CNN/ORC poll. It’s a choice between more of the same in Hillary Clinton and someone who will break through the status quo in Donald Trump. The Democrat reported raising almost $90 million in July for her campaign and the Democratic Party, with more than half the donations coming from new donors.

In the interview, Trump also targeted other sitting Republicans who have been critical of him, whether explicitly or through condemnation of his recent public statements or policy views.

“I had great timing”.

This past weekend, the billionaire industrialist Charles Koch (pronounced “coke”) told hundreds of donors that make up his political network that Trump does not embrace, nor will he fight for, free market principles.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump says the 2016 election is 'going to be rigged&#39 and that Republicans need to be careful and watch closely otherwise the election is 'going to be taken away from us.&#39
