Kid uses voice activated home assistant to order toys
Owners of an Alexa-enabled device like the Amazon Echo will be able to control their Hopper via voice commands like “Go to ESPN”, “Play the Warriors game”, or “Find comedy movies”. Its base model will cost $129, which is $50 less than the Echo, but there will also be a better sounding Harman Kardon version available at $179, on par with Amazon’s offering.

For one, it’s launching a new certification brand around its Sling TV streaming service-The AirTV Player and Xiaomi’s Mi Box will be the first devices to bear the “Optimized for Sling TV” sticker.
Information about a Ford vehicle will initially be available through Alexa-enabled devices later this month.A larger rollout with the ability to add Alexa skills is scheduled for mid-2017. The televisions can also be used as smart speakers, similar to the Amazon Echo, Google Home, or the newly announced LG Robot Hub and Lenovo Smart Assistant. Ever since Amazon opened up its APIs for Alexa Skill Sets, several large consumer companies have integrated Alexa into their own products.
Rounding up the company’s new smart home offerings is Smart Storage, a “secure digital solution” with 6TB of storage. Customers will be also be able to search for things such as getting the latest news and weather reports, checking sports scores and remote control of other Alexa-enabled smart home technology.
The PC maker will now have the Lenovo Smart Assistant speakers, which will use the activated voice features of the Echo speakers that works with Alexa.
The Lenovo Smart Assistant device will start shipping to customers this year, in May. For now, the only Ford vehicles capable of home-to-car Alexa communication are the Ford Focus Electric, the Ford C-Max Energi, and the Ford Fusion Energi, which already come with an AT&T data connection.

According to DISH, users will be able to direct Alexa to change to a specific channel number or network.
