Joshua Aaron Robertson, 27, and Brittany Humphrey, 22, fled the Los Angeles area with the children on Interstate 40, and drove through Arizona and into New Mexico, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

An armed and meth-crazed couple allegedly killed a California woman, kidnapped her three children and is now leading police on a manhunt spanning at least three states. Humphrey was found inside a vehicle at the motel, while Robertson was found about two blocks away.
Law enforcement is on the lookout for Joshua Robertson and Brittany Humphrey in connection with the kidnapping of three California children and the murder of their mother.
Detectives learned Wednesday afternoon that the three missing children had been located in a motel on the outskirts of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
According to Los Angeles County sheriff’s homicide Lt. Joe Mendoza, there was no known issues between Harvill and the couple, but police became suspicious when they fled town shortly after the murder.
The children are Joslynn Watkins, 2; Brayden Watkins, 3; and Rylee Watkins, 5.
Robertson and Humphrey have family in Nebraska and ties to Kansas, Louisiana and MS, said Lt. Joe Mendoza of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. “The fact that she’s missing is just as concerning as the fact their mother is dead”. The three children are between two and five years old, their mother Kimberly Harvill, was found dead along a road in Lebec August 14.
The man called police after Robertson and Humphrey failed to return to the motel. Robertson’s infant daughter, who was said to be traveling with them, was also found safe.
“Humphrey and Robertson ‘are still on the run and believed to be eastbound from Albuquerque toward neighboring states”, Alexander said. “She don’t know him, anything about his background”, said Bobby Humphrey, Kimberly Harvill and Brittany Humphrey’s father. The couple were arrested at a local hotel after the Pueblo Police Department discovered them while on a routine patrol check. Investigators say the couple are considered persons of interest in Harvill’s death.
The father of Harvill’s children, Kenneth Chad Watkins, killed himself by lying in front of a train a year ago, according to the Fresno County Coroner.
