Harrison’s father, Flint Wayne Harrison, 51, turned himself in to authorities at about 1:45 a.m. local time Saturday, and told investigators that his son was nearby, according to a sheriff’s office statement. He is still at large, considered unsafe and is believed to be in the Half Moon Lake area of Sublette County, Wyoming.

Though residents have not been directly threatened, the Sublette Sheriff’s Office urged Pinedale residents to consider sheltering in place until the DJ Harrison was apprehended, the station reported. The females did not take him seriously and went back upstairs, where Flint Harrison, carrying a baseball bat, forced them back to the basement by prodding and jabbing them with the bat.

Police had been looking for the Harrisons since Tuesday after they invited a woman and her four teen daughters to their house for a barbecue before kidnapping them.

Police say the assault targeted the woman, who knows the son.

The mother and one daughter were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Flint and Dereck Harrison were each charged with five counts of aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony, among other charges. They put zip ties on the wrists of the girls, who wore them like handcuffs. The two had been using methamphetamine heavily over several days and falsely believed the woman had reported them to authorities, police said.

The victims’ cell phones were taken and their hands were zip-tied behind them, police say.

Centerville police said Flint Harrison and his son DJ Harrison lured them to the home under the pretense of having a barbeque, but it was a ruse. “Then the two suspects are trying to contain the girls and the mom, and it goes to chaos”, Steenblik said.

They have been identified as Flint Wayne Harrison, 51, last known address is in Salt Lake and his son Dereck James (DJ) Harrison, 21, of Centerville.

The men drove away in a Chevrolet Suburban with Wyoming plates. Another slapped the shotgun away when it was pointed at her face, the Associated Press reported.

They also found blood and a chunk of hair on the stairs, according to the affidavit for the warrant. However, police said the men also have work and family connections in the area of Pinedale, Wyoming. Centerville police have set up a tip line at 801-335-8844.
