Tampa Bay Rays center fielder and former Bishop Luers star Kevin Kiermaier is expected to miss extended time after breaking two bones in his left hand Saturday trying to make a catch in Detroit.

The Tigers scored twice in the first, once in the second and three times in the third inning off Rays starter Chris Archer.

Archer allowed six runs and eight hits in three innings.
